Winter walks in York and Ripon

WINTER WALKS: Find out about birds that have come from overseas and what the resident wildlife gets up to when it’s cold and wet. Join St Nicholas Fields Wildwatch volunteers for a winter walk through the nature reserve, York, on Saturday, (December 15) from 10.30am until noon. The walk costs £1. York Environment Centre will be open for hot drinks during the event. Call 01904-411821 for more information or to book.

 

ABBEY TOURS: Join a free tour to discover facts and stories about Fountains Abbey and monks, and Studley Royal Water Garden, Ripon. The walk is on Saturday, (December 15) from 1.30pm until 3pm and is run by the National Trust. People are asked to meet at the Porter's Lodge in the Abbey grounds.
