POLICE are renewing their appeal for witnesses to a collision which left a man dead.
Neil McClure, 41, was in collision with a car in Eaglescliffe at around 3am on Saturday, December 1 as he walked on Urlay Nook Road outside of Eaglescliffe School, near to Tesco’s store.
It is known that Mr McClure had been walking from the Durham Lane area of Eaglescliffe towards Yarm, when he was in collision with a blue coloured Ford Fiesta motor vehicle. A short time later a second vehicle, a silver coloured Honda Jazz, was also involved in the incident.
Mr McClure, of Hartburn, near Stockton, suffered fatal head injuries in the incident. The former serviceman had been due to start a new life in Australia.
Police are seeking any witnesses who may have seen the male walking between Durham Lane and Yarm immediately prior to the collision occurring.
