ARTISTS are being invited to take part in a fundraising charity exhibition to help make a poorly teenager’s dream come true.
Ellie Ward, 24, from Merrybent, near Darlington, is organising the event for the Dreams Come True charity which will use any money raised to send a teenage cerebral palsy sufferer from Cleveland to the British Grand Prix next year.
Artists have until January 23 to submit a piece of artwork on the theme of Dreams and Aspirations for the exhibition at The George Hotel in Piercebridge on February 13.
The work will then be sold for the charity, with one winning piece of artwork being chosen for auction.
Mrs Ward, a photographer, will be displaying some of her own pieces and wants as many artists as possible to get involved in the exhibition.
“We’re looking for all kinds of genres, we really hope that a lot of people get involved so we have plenty for people to look at,” she said.
All works must be able to be displayed indoors in a 3ft by 3ft space and a photograph of the piece intended for inclusion should be sent to owensdream@hotmail.com before the January deadline.
