EMERGENCY WORKS: Dalton Piercy Road, just south of the entrance to Lamb’s House Farm, south of Dalton crossroads on Elwick Road, near Hartlepool, will be closed tomorrow (Friday, December 14) to enable repairs to be carried out to damaged BT cables. The works should be completed in one day and signs will be put in place to advise motorists that there will be no through route along this stretch of road.

BOY ASSAULTED: A 12-year-old boy was left with a cut lip and swollen left eye after he was pushed to the floor by two males and kicked several times. The attack happened at about 3.40pm on Tuesday, December 11 outside the swimming baths, Owton Manor Lane, Hartlepool. One of the suspects is described as wearing grey jogging bottoms. Both suspects had their faces covered. Anyone who witnessed the incident or has any information is asked to contact PC Anthony Wallace on the non-emergency number 101 or crime-stoppers on 0800 555 111.
