POLICE are hunting vandals who ripped windscreen wipers off vehicles in a Darlington car park.
The wipers were taken from a Renault Megane and Fiat 500, which were both parked in Garbutt Square car park, near Bank Top railway station.
The first incident took place in the early hours of Saturday, December 8, when the 43-year-old owner of the Megane left the car overnight.
When she returned to her vehicle, the front and rear windscreen wipers had been ripped off and thrown away.
The second incident, which happened around 3.15pm on Tuesday, December 11, saw the front and rear wipers pulled off the Fiat 500.
Police believe the two incidents could be linked, and officers have now released images of a man they want to speak to about the damage.
PC Ryan Griffiths said: “This is mindless vandalism and we would like to hear from anyone who recognises the man, or has noticed any suspicious activity in the car park.”
