Handbag stolen

A pensioner has been left shaken but unharmed after having her handbag stolen whilst walking home from the shop at about 7.50pm Tuesday (December 11) on Wilton Way, Eston, near Middlesbrough.

The 73-year-old woman was approached from behind and had her handbag taken from her shoulder.

The suspect is described as white, dark tracksuit top, thin build, socks pulled up over his trousers.

Anyone who witnessed the incident or has any information is asked to contact PC Russell Boon on 101 or via Crimestoppers on 0800-555111.

MEMORIAL SERVICE: The Holocaust Memorial Service next year will be on Sunday, January 27 at St Barnabas Church Linthorpe, Middlesbrough. The service will begin at 2pm and will last for approximately 45 minutes.
