A HOME-MADE Christmas is on the cards for people working at a North-East business park – plus a chance to change their lives in the New Year.

The ‘business-with-added-lifestyle’ ethos of Lingfield Point, in Darlington, means the team loves to enhance the lives of people based in its office buildings - so they’ve lined up a host of mind, body and soul workshops for them through the festive season and beyond.

On the pre-Christmas programme, staff can make their own felt decorations, weave a bag from scratch and try their hand at knitting a warm winter scarf at workshops run by Tabby Textiles.

On Tuesday (December 11), there will be carol singing in Lingfield House.

And in the New Year, Lingfield Point people will be getting some help with all their resolution.

They’ll be able to grab a post-Christmas health check and try out Reiki healing techniques to free up their energies – and they’ll be given some advice on losing weight with Lighterlife.

Eddie Humphries, estate manager, said: “Lingfield Point is all about giving people an enjoyable whole-life experience where leisure, culture and fitness blend seamlessly with work.

“There’s no reason why the dark winter months can’t be fun, and our programme of workshops offers that as well as a bit of new learning for everyone who works here – we’re hoping as many as possible come along and join in.”

And it’s not too late to leave a gift for an older person as part of Lingfield Point’s ‘Be Santa to a Senior’ Initiative to ensure no-one is forgotten at Christmas – just drop off a gift at canteen. The presents will be distributed by Age UK.
