TREE DISPLAY: St Cuthbert's Church, in Sessay, near Thirsk, will stage a Christmas tree festival from 7.30pm on Friday, and on Saturday and Sunday. Visitors can vote for their favourite. For tickets, costing £5 for adults, call 01845-501491.
ON SONG: Vocalist Spike Davis will perform at Thirsk Conservative Club on Saturday (December 15), from 8.30pm. For details, call 01845-522576.
