STORE OPENS: The Co-operative food store, in Fulthorpe Avenue, Darlington, reopened last week following a £310,000 makeover. Customers were treated to free samples of food and drink to mark the occasion.
COMMITTEE MEETS: Darlington Borough Council’s licensing committee meets at 9.30am on Tuesday (December 11), at the town hall. Helen Murphy, from Durham Police, will give a presentation on the link between alcohol and sexual violence.
LIONS CLUB: Darlington Lions Club held its annual Christmas party for the elderly, at Elm Ridge Methodist Church Hall, on Saturday (December 8).
