CHILDREN were enchanted by the nativity story with live creatures at a library yesterday. (Saturday, December 8).
About 20 children, aged ten and under, saw the one-man show at Thornaby’s Westbury Street Library.
The story-teller produced an owl, snake, giant snail and even cockroaches to help tell the story of the first Christmas.
“The idea was to have an interactive storytelling session to engage the children,” said a Stockton council spokeswoman.
The free show, which also included character costumes and props, will also be performed at Norton Library (book on 01642-528150) on Saturday, December 15, Yarm Library (01642-528152) on Thursday, December 20, Stockton Central Library (01642-582079), on Sunday, December 23 and Thornaby Central Library (01642 -528117) on Sunday, December 23.
Parents are advised to book a place as numbers are limited.
