YOUNG people and their parents now have more time to have their say in a survey about how they travel to school or college.

The deadline for the survey, which will help Darlington Borough Council to provide the best travel choices for the journey from home to school or college, has been extended from December 14 until December 31 to allow more time for people to add their comments.

Councillor Cyndi Hughes, cabinet member for children and young people, said: “By extending the deadline for the survey we are giving people more time to get involved.

"This shows how important it is for young people and their parents or guardians to have their say about issues that will affect them and the next generation of young people.

“Many thanks to those who have already taken the time to share their thoughts with us – these are valued by us. I know that this is a busy time for everyone but I do urge people to take some time out of their day to complete the survey.”

The survey can be completed by students and their parents or guardians at darlington.gov.uk/Generic/consultations.html
