Staindrop police priorities agreed
5:15pm Friday 7th December 2012 in News By Stuart Laundy, Reporter (Barnard Castle & Teesdale)
POLICE PRIORITIES: At a police and communities together (PACT) meeting in Staindrop, near Barnard Castle, the issue of speeding along the B6274 to Winston was raised. It was agreed this issue should be made a priority and police will spend the next month monitoring the area.
PARTY TIME: Town councillors in Barnard Castle are considering spending up to £14,000 on a series of community events next year. Details of exactly what will take place will only be discussed if the money – and increase of £10,000 on the current events budget – is agreed.
BUDGET PROPOSALS: Teesdale Action Partnership will consider a series of budget proposals for various projects at its board meeting on Wednesday, December 12, at Winston Village Hall, starting at 6pm. There will also be an update on the Barnard Castle rope bridge proposal. The meeting is open to the public.
