A CARE worker has had his dedication, commitment and effort rewarded with a national award.
Mark Culley, deputy manager at North Park care home, in Darlington, won a prize in the recent National Care awards, in London.
He is responsible for training staff at the home and other run by parent company Barchester Healthcare.
The 34-year-old, who has been with the company for seven years, was presented with his award by TV personality Roy Walker.
It is the latest in a string of awards for Mr Culley, who was named North-East trainer of the year last year, as well as scooping Barchester’s trainer of the year award.
He said: “There were five of us in the final and I won on the night. The judges said it was down to the passion and commitment I put into training staff.”
