POLICE are appealing for help from the public after a van containing vital medication was stolen.
The white Ford Transit Crewcab pick-up was taken from the High Street in Catterick Village at about 2pm on Thursday, December 6.
The van, which has IWG Civil Engineering Contractors written on the side, was driven off in the direction of Catterick Racecourse – and inside was a months’ supply of the owner’s insulin.
Officers are appealing to anyone who witnessed the theft or has any information that can help officers with their enquiries, to get in touch.
PC Huw Williams said: “Clearly, the victim in this case needs his medication, therefore anyone with information about this theft needs to come forward as soon as possible.
“If you saw the theft itself or have any indication where the van is now, please contact the police or Crimestoppers as soon as possible.”
Contact North Yorkshire Police on 101, select option two and ask for Huw Williams, or Catterick police. Alternatively contact Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555111,
