Choir to mark 21st anniversary

AN orchestra is to celebrate its 21st year at with a new year spectacular at Darlington Civic Theatre.
The London Gala Orchestra show, on Monday, January 7, at 7.30pm, will be full of Viennese musical delights, including sparkling waltzes, fiery polkas and stunning songs that are reminiscent of 19th century ballrooms.
The orchestra is conducted by David McCallum and he will be joined by star soprano Pamela Hay, a regular guest on Radio 2’s Friday Night is Music Night and also, leading tenor Andrew Wickes, who is currently touring Russia with Russian Early Music.
In addition to all this, there will also be pyrotechnics, a champagne lottery and Auld Lang Syne with a real piper.
With tickets priced at only £17 and £19, it is an ideal Christmas gift and the perfect way to start 2013.
