A MOTORIST clocked at nearly double the 30mph limit on a Darlington road has been fined £200.
Jordan Senior, 19, of Merrybent Drive, Merrybent, near Darlington, pleaded guilty to speeding via a letter read at Darlington Magistrates’ Court today (Thursday, December 6).
The court heard that Senior, who works in the Armed Forces, was travelling at 52mph on a 30mph stretch of Coniscliffe Road on September 1.
He was fined £200, had his licence endorsed with four points and was ordered to pay a £15 victim surcharge and £50 court costs.
