Christmas tree festival to get under way

A CHRISTMAS Tree Festival is being held over the weekend to celebrate the 200th year anniversary of Bondgate Methodist Church.

The celebrations get under way on Friday (December 7), at 6.30pm There will be a special guest appearance by Carmel RC College Pit Band, who will be performing Christmas carols and other festive music on the first night.

The festivities will then continue over the weekend, from 2pm until 4pm on both Saturday and Sunday, with seasonal entertainment including raffle draws and other family activities.

There will be refreshments provided at each event, including tea and coffee to keep everyone warm and feeling festive.

The event is free for anyone to come along to and join in with the fun, although donations will be appreciated and will contribute towards the church and local charities.
