TWO children’s centres are holding Christmas parties for families.

Throughout the year, the centres provide young children and families with enough support under one roof to give children the best start in life.

This month two of them will round off the year with a Christmas party.

Wensleydale Children’s Centre is holding a party on Monday afternoon (December 10) at Askrigg School between 1pm and 3pm, where there will be entertainment, Father Christmas and party food and games.

The following week, on December 18, Bedale and villages’ children’s centre will be holding a party at Chantry Hall in Bedale between 1pm and 2.30pm.

The parties are for families who use the centres throughout the year. The organisations run a range of sessions for expectant and new mothers and their children.

They also allow parents with young children to gain professional advice on health and family matters, learn about training and socialise with other parents.
