Christmas treats for foster kids

CHILDREN in foster care will be receiving extra presents this Christmas thanks to a grant from Sainsbury's.

The supermarket on Victoria Road awarded £60 to the Darlington Foster Carers group through its community grant scheme funded by the sale of Bags for Life.

Marie Steward, charity organiser at Sainsbury's, said: “It is such a privilege to be able to access the fund to bring a smile and a practical help to local groups.

“Merry Christmas to all our local charities.”
