A CHRISTMAS fair has been hailed a huge success after it raised more than £1,000 for the community centre it was held in.
Hurworth Grange Community Centre’s annual Christmas fair took place on Sunday, December 2 and raised more than £1,300, which will go towards the running of the centre.
About 20 stalls from local businesses set up in the centre, with more than 250 visitors flocking to the fair throughout the day.
Keith Sandick, manager of Hurworth Grange Community Centre and a key organiser, said: “We had an absolutely brilliant day.
“I want to thank everyone who had a stall and everyone who helped organise the day - it was fantastic.”
