Village fundraiser for motorcyclist paralysed in crash
12:22pm Wednesday 5th December 2012 in News
A quiz night is to be held to help provide a paralysed man with an all-terrain electric wheelchair. Nicholas Kane, 20, from Sandhutton near Thirsk, suffered a broken neck after a motorbike accident this summer at Yafforth near Northallerton, when he was out on his motorbike with his father. Now villagers are to hold a fundraising quiz night at the Kings Arms at Sandhutton on December 23 at 7.30pm to help raise money for a new wheelchair. Entry is £5 per person and includes a complementary supper at the pub.
RIVERSIDE RAMBLE: Northallerton Ramblers will be staging a Teesdale Way walk around Stockton-on-Tees on December 13. Those wanting to take part should meet at Preston Park car park at 10am for the nine mile walk. For more details contact Dave on 01642-711114.
