STAFF at a Darlington supermarket have presented a charity with a cheque for £60. Sainsbury’s, in Victoria Road, has given Darlington Foster Carers a windfall from its community grant fund. It will be used to pay for Christmas treats for the youngsters in its care. The grants come from the profit from the sale of Bags for Life so buying a bag helps both the environment and your community. Marie Steward, charity organiser at Sainsbury’s, said: “It is such a privilege to be able to access the fund to bring a smile and practical help to local groups.”
