POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a 47-year-old man was repeatedly punched during an attempted robbery. The victim suffered cuts and bruising to his face during the attack in St Andrews Avenue, Harrogate in the early hours of Sunday, December 2. The attacker got out of a small white van, repeatedly punching the man as he demanded money. He fled empty handed. Witnesses can call North Yorkshire Police on 101 and ask for Fiona McEwan.
