A CLASS of school leavers has been honoured for their academic and personal contributions to school life at an awards ceremony.
The former pupils of Haughton Academy, at Education Village, in Darlington, returned to pick up their exam certificates at a special event attended by parents, teachers and local people.
As well as their academic prowess, students were also recognised for other achievements, including former head girl Katie Roe, who received the Bob Carnelll award for most significant contribution to school life.
