BUSES TARGETED: Cleveland Police are appealing for information after two buses were damaged by youths throwing stones at the windows in two separate incidents. The first incident involved the number 64 bus, travelling through New Marske at 2.50pm on Tuesday, November 27, as it travelled along Birkdale Road, near to the row of shops, leaving windows smashed. The second incident happened on Wednesday, November 28 at 4.40pm as the number 9 bus service to Overfields was attacked as it travelled along Ainstable Road in Ormesby, Middlesbrough. Youths threw stones again and smashed windows. Anyone with information on any of these incidents should contact Acting Inspector Jen Milsom of Eston Police on 101 or call the charity Crimestoppers on 0800-555-111.

CHARITY CONCERT: The Levendale Singers invite you to join them at St Mary and St Romuald RC, High Street, Yarm at 7.30pm on Monday, December 10 for their annual Christmas concert. There is no charge for the concert but they will be holding a leaving collection on behalf of the RNLI.

MEMORIAL SERVICE: A memorial Christmas Carol service is to take place at St Mary’s RC Church in Stockton on Wednesday, December 12 from 7pm. The Co-operative Funeralcare’s homes in Stockton, Billingham and Sedgefield have organised the service to help local people remember their loved ones during the festive season, which can often be an extremely painful time for the bereaved.
