CHARITY CHRISTMAS: Families are invited to join in the festive fun at Redcar Primary Care Hospital’s Christmas charity event at the hospital on West Dyke Road, on Friday, December 14 from 5pm to 7pm. The event will feature real reindeer, a local school choir, the Salvation Army Band and Santa’s grotto, with proceeds from the raffle and grotto will be split between the Salvation Army and the RNLI. Other charities holding stalls on the night include Zoe’s Place, Guide Dogs for the Blind, Daisy Chain, Macmillan Nurses, Carers Together, Zetland Life Boat Museum and Kirkleatham Owl and Animal Sanctuary.

FOR FOODBANK: A Christmas crafts and table-top sale will be held at East Cleveland Baptist Church, Park Avenue, Redcar, on Wednesday, December 5 between 10am and 2pm, with proceeds towards a new Foodbank project. Footprints cafe will also be open during the event for light snacks and drinks.

CLASSIC TALE: Norton Library will hold a Christmas Nativity show on Saturday, December 15, from 10.30am until 11.30am. The nativity is presented in costume with props and live animals. The event is free but booking is essential. To book call the library on 01642-528019.
