A NORTH Yorkshire tourist attraction will play host to Santa for the first time since opening five years ago.

The Station, Richmond, will see Santa in his grotto in a Victorian street scene from Saturday at 11am.

He will be there every weekend in December to meet children and give out gifts.

There will also be guest appearances from the Snow Queen and Jack Frost, and Richmond Jam jazz band will play at 11am on Sunday.

Jewellery stall Rockchique will be running both days, which allows children to make their own bracelets to take home as well as selling gifts for adults.

Mulled wine and mince pies will also be served on the platform throughout the weekend.

Santa’s Grotto will be open from 11am to 5pm every weekend in December and Monday, December 24.Tickets cost £6 per child, including gift.
