VOLUNTEERS are being encouraged to help with a litter clean-up operation.
Litter Free Durham are holding their Big Spring Clean next year, and are appealing for people to come forward and identify areas across the region in need of sprucing up.
The group will be working with Durham County Council’s Civic Pride team and crews from Darlington Borough Council’s Street Scene department between March 18 and May 12.
Anyone interested in taking part should contact 01325-315580 or 01325-314622, and organisers will contact people in January to arrange areas to clean.
