A MAN who punched two people in the street has been given a conditional discharge in court.

Ryan Henry, 20, of Westbrook Villas, Darlington pleaded guilty to using threatening behaviour when he appeared before the town’s magistrates’ court today (November 27).

The court heard that he punched the men because he feared for his safety after being surrounded by them and another person he was arguing with on Northgate in Darlington.

He was given a 12-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £35 court costs and a £15 victim surcharge.
