Car crash driver still in hospital

A MOTORIST remains in a serious but stable condition in hospital after crashing into a tree.
The BMW driver crashed into a tree off Carmel Road North in Darlington just before midnight on Friday.
Police believe the car was overtaking other vehicles at the time and are appealing for witnesses.
The driver, who was the sole occupant of the car, was taken to Darlington Memorial Hospital suffering from serious injuries.
