Man in court over Stockton armed robbery

Jason Lee Rochford has appeared in Teesside Magistrates Court charged with robbing the Darlington Building Society on Stockton High Street on Wednesday afternoon.

He is also charged with possession of an offensive weapon.

The 40-year-old of Norton Road, Norton, near Stockton, was remanded in custody until Wednesday, November 28.

He did not enter a plea and no application was made for bail.
