THE cast of a new musical telling the life and times of Tina Turner have gathered ahead of its opening night.
Soul Sister, which features classic Tina Turner hits including What’s Love Got to Do With It, Proud Mary and Simply The Best, will be at Darlington Civic Theatre until Saturday.
Inspired by the life Tina Turner and her husband Ike, Soul Sister follows the highs and lows, passions and heartbreak, of the pair as their careers soared and their marriage crumbled.
The production will be performed at 7.30pm each night this week, with matinees at 2pm on Thursday and 2.30pm on Saturday.
