TWO men were left with serious injuries after their car left the road and smashed into a lamppost.
The accident happened at about 1.45pm on Saturday (NOV 17) on the A61 near Harrogate at a place known locally as Almsford Bank.
The silver Peugeot estate was travelling towards Leeds when the incident happened and the two occupants of the Peugeot, aged 31 and 33, sustained serious injuries.
The pair, both from West Yorkshire. were taken to Harrogate District Hospital where they remain in a stable condition.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the collision or anyone who saw a silver Peugeot estate travelling along the A61 before the crash.
