TWO men have appeared at court charged with making indecent images of children.
Simon Cater, 42, of Damson Court, Darlington, and David Elliott, 44, of The Sycamores, in Park Road, Newcastle, are each charged with 16 counts of making indecent images and one charge of possessing indecent images.
Between January 1 2004 and January 26 this year, Mr Cater is accused of amassing 4, 719 indecent images of children, while Mr Elliott is said to have had 208 images during the same time frame.
The pair, who have not yet entered a plea, appeared at Darlington Magistrates’ Court today (Tuesday, November 6) and spoke only to confirm their names and addresses.
They have been committed to Teesside Crown Court on a date yet to be fixed. Both were given unconditional bail.
