Two top comedians will bring their shows to Middlesbrough this week. Stewart Francis will perform at Middlesbrough Town Hall on Thursday November 8 at 8pm and Jimmy Carr will appear there on Saturday November 10, also at 8pm.

FOLK FOCUS: A folk festival featuring international folk star Catherine Feeny and Manchester’s Stefan Melbourne will be held at Middlesbrough’s Mink Tattoo Coffee Bar on Saturday November 10 from 8pm. FANTASY FEAST: Children can enjoy a performance about the adventures of Jason and the Argonauts at Hartlepool’s Town Hall Theatre on Wednesday November 14. The play is produced by internationally acclaimed Visible Fictions, a production company for young people, and is aimed at those aged nine and above. HOSPICE QUIZ: A quiz and raffle in aid of St Oswalds Hospice will be held at the Lambton Hounds Pub in Pity Me, Durham on Thursday November 8 from 8.30pm. Entrance is £2 per person and each team will receive nibbles. There will be a cash prize for the winning team and runners up prizes will be given.
