SEARCHES for missing pensioner Graham Roskell have again drawn a blank, despite a helicopter joining the hunt.

The 65-year-old disappeared from Harrogate District Hospital, where he was receiving treatment, at around 7.30am on Saturday.

Despite extensive searches there has been no trace of him since and, with temperatures plunging, police are growing increasingly concerned.

Search and rescue teams have been involved in the hunt, along with a police helicopter, and the searches are continuing.

Mr Roskell, from Kirk Hammerton, near York, was described as physically fit although he may be confused due to illness.

Residents of Harrogate and the surrounding areas are being urged to check sheds, outbuildings and garages in case Mr Roskell has taken shelter in them over night.
