A FILM charting the the rise of record shops will be screened in a North Yorkshire vinyl store this weekend.
Last Shop Standing, based on a book by the same name written by Graham Jones, will be shown at Betterdaze & Juke Box Shop, in Zetland Street, Northallerton, at 7.30pm on Saturday.
The film charts the rapid rise of record shops in the 60s, 70s and 80s, the influence of the chart, the underhand deals, the demise of vinyl and the rise of the CD.
The author will attend the screening and will host a question and answer session with shop owner Gary Lewis afterwards.
The screening is part of a national tour by Mr Jones. The event will be the only public showing of the film in the region.
Tickets for the event cost £5 and are available from the shop or on the door.
