A charity that works with disadvantaged youngsters is appealing for a marquee to use at its annual Christmas fair. The Clervaux Trust, based in Croft, near Darlington, is looking for any businesses who would be able to donate a marquee for the event at Clow Beck Farm, in Croft, on Saturday, November 17. Anyone who can help is asked to call the trust on 01325-729860.
CHURCH TALK: Dr Martin Clarke, an organist, piano teacher and academic at Durham University, is to give a talk on the new Methodist hymnbook, called Singing the Faith, at St Oswold’s Church, in Cockerton, Darlington. The event is hosted by Darlington and District Organists’ and Choirmasters’ Association and starts at 7.30pm on Saturday, November 10. Entry is free.
