Police appeal for witnesses after pedestrian killed on 'Wilderness Road'

A MAN has died following a collision on the 'Wilderness Road' this morning.
The male pedestrian was killed following a collision with a Volvo on a patch of road near Middlesbrough known locally as the 'Wilderness Road.'
The accident happened at 10.40am this morning on the Stockton Road between Middlesbrough and Thornaby.
Cleveland Police have confirmed that a green Volvo car was travelling from the direction of Middlesbrough when it collided with a male pedestrian.
Sadly the pedestrian, who has not yet been named, died of his injuries.
Any witnesses to the incident are asked to contact Cleveland Police.
