Lorry stuck: Queues built up and motorists had to be diverted after a lorry became trapped under a low bridge on Leeman Road in York yesterday. The vehicle became wedged in at about 1.30pm and a team of workmen were called in to free it.
Icy fun: York’s ice rink is to return for a third year at the city’s Designer Outlet. The Winter Wonderland will be at the outlet from November 24 until January 6, with a 30ft Christmas tree in the centre as well as an illuminated reindeer forest.
