An enthusiastic Yorkshire Gliding Club is really getting down to the tasks involved in completing the £7,000 new clubhouse in time for an official opening in the spring. With structural work completed by contractors bang on time, members have now started a giant do-it-yourself plan. The members are setting about such tasks as the plumbing, plastering, painting and laying on of sewerage and water. The Sutton Bank club got a flying start to its ambitious project through its chairman, Mr John Reussner, managing director of Slingsby Sailplanes Ltd., who did much to smooth out a loan from the Shaw- Slingsby Trust that made a start possible.
