SAMANTHA Charlton has joined AHDB Beef & Lamb as Knowledge Exchange Manager for the North East.
She lives on a livestock farm and previously worked at the NFU Mutual and as a county advisor for NFU Northumberland & North Durham where she was also secretary to the North East NFU Livestock Board.
She said: "I will be working with the AHDB Beef and Lamb team to develop our Strategic Farms as part of AHDB’s Farm Excellence activity, as well as looking to develop new initiatives within our supply chain work. I am also looking forward to working with farmers and the wider industry to explore how we can better understand costs of production."

The appointment follows Steve Dunkley’s secondment to the Pork Knowledge Exchange team in September.
