A NEW farm animal veterinary practice opens in Northallerton on Monday.
The Bishopton Veterinary Group, which recently re-launched its herd and flock health schemes, will open its new centre on Standard Way Business Park.
The practice has been a leader in the livestock veterinary sector for more than 50 years and Neil Eastham, partner and large animal vet, said that providing farmers with a veterinary team who only do farm work, backed up by trained vet techs, had been a fundamental part of the development of their farm division.
“This focused approach ensures that the Bishopton Farm Team are able to deliver positive support for any farming business 24 hours a day, 365 days a year,” he said.
Its herd and flock health schemes are designed to be flexible in recognition that every farms’ needs are different. The re-launched scheme now offers a range of separate services such as mobility/lameness and mastitis/milk quality to enable farmers to tailor the scheme to their own requirements.
Mr Eastham said: “This preventative health planning approach is backed up by access to competitively priced medicines together with the delivery of a wide range of training courses, access to regular meetings and in-house specialist advice.”
The new practice includes a medicine collection point and training room for client meetings and training courses.
