ORGANISERS of an annual charity tractor run hope this weekend’s event will break through the £100,000 barrier.
So far, the event has raised more than £92,000 for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance and the 15th event on Sunday is expected to break through the £100,000 figure.
About 200 tractors will gather at Beadlam Grange Farm, near Hemsley, from 8.45am, setting off on their 50-mile run at 9.45am.
Emergencies and weather permitting, the air ambulance helicopter hopes to drop in to lend its support.
Spectators will be able to see the tractors pass through Beadlam/Nawton at 10am; Fadmoor/Gillamoor, 11.10am; Kirkbymoorside led by the town’s brass band, 11.45am; Hutton-le-Hole, 12.15pm; Lastingham, 1.40pm; Cropton, 1.55pm; Newton-on-Rawcliffe, 2.30pm; Pickering, 3pm; Marton, 3.45pm; Normanby, 3.55pm; Great Edstone, 4.05pm; Salton, 4.10pm; Wombleton, 4.40pm; Harome, 4.55pm and back to Beadlam Grange Farm for 5pm.
