THE Suffolk National Sheep Sale at Shrewsbury saw strong demand with a 21,000gns top price paid for a ram lamb from Myfyr Evans’ Rhaeadr pen, a son of the 90,000gns Ardlea Arbennig. He sold to Mary-Julia Cornish of Devon.
Following that at 6500gns was another from the same pen, the pre-sale champion A12:15:01298. A Rookery Best of the Best son, and part of the winning pen of three from Myfyr Evans, he sold to Pamela Lupton, for the Kexbeck flock, Ripon.

IAN MacDougall has been appointed northern area manager for StockTrace, the specialist livestock electronic identification (EID) software company.
He will promote the benefits of EID to farms, collection centres, markets and abattoirs throughout Northern England and Scotland.

Based in York, he will be responsible for the development of the business from Yorkshire to the Scottish Borders, including the North West.
