AN ELECTION will be held to find a replacement for Malcolm Corbett who has announced his intention to stand down as board member for the English Northern region on the British Wool Marketing Board.
Four candidates have been nominated – Gordon Capstick of Barn Close, Heversham, Milnthorpe; Brian Nutter of Sabden Old Hall Farm, Sabden Fold, Burnley; Carl
Stephenson of Pikestone, Woodland, Bishop Auckland; and Trevor Wilson of Low Bankside Farm, Cartmel, Grange Over Sands.
Voting papers will be sent to all registered producers in the region on Thursday, February, 19. They must be returned to the Independent Returning Officer by 6 pm on Thursday, March 19.
The successful candidate will serve for three years from April 1.
