THE 2015 NIAB TAG Outlook Conference takes place at the Holiday Inn at Scotch Corner on Wednesday, February 18.

The 30th anniversary conference has attracted a strong line-up of speakers including Sir Jim Paice, MP and former Defra minister , who will discuss the politics of farming, and David Norris, of Noggers Blogg and independent grain analyst, who will discuss what's driving the global grain markets and how to handle market cycles.

Dr James Taylor of Newcastle University will ask what can precision farming bring to the bottom line? while Davina Fillingham of Stephenson & Son, chartered surveyors, will look at the adaptation of precision farming overseas which was the subject of her recent Nuffield Scholarship travel study.

Stuart Knight, NIAB director of crops and agronomy, will do some crystal ball gazing and the line-up also includes Dr Jason Beedell from Smiths Gore.

The conference has been organised by local farmer and NIAB board member Robert Harle and NIAB TaAG's regional agronomist , Patrick Stephenson.
