CATTERICK. – Last week's meeting was an intriguing visit around Ripon Select foods, when members were shown the production process from wheat being milled to been turned into breadcrumbs. There is a committee meeting on Monday at the Greyhound, Hackforth, at 7pm. Next week's meeting is an introduction to stock judging. Meet at Hackforth Village Hall at 7.30pm.

DURHAM CITY. – This week, members enjoyed making Christmas cards and organised their programme for the new year. The next meeting will be on Monday, and is the club's Christmas social at the Three Horse Shoes, Running Waters, at 7.30pm. The cost is £5, and families are welcome. ELWICK. – This week’s meeting was Christmas crafts, when members made Christmas cards. Thanks go to the Appleton family for allowing us to go to their house, as we were unable to have the hall. Today is our bottle tombola at Robinson’s Christmas fair at 3.30pm. Next Wednesday is our annual whist drive and draw, so could members donate raffle prizes towards this. Next week’s meeting is whist preparation. Take your raffle tickets and money, as well as raffle prizes, to the meeting. Meet at the WI Hall, Elwick, at 7.30pm. GREAT SMEATON. – Tonight is our annual Christmas shopping trip to the Metro Centre. The bus will be leaving the village green at 6pm and will depart at 11pm on return. All members must ensure they have secured a seat on the bus. Well done to all those who competed at Cledales public speaking.

INGLEBY CROSS. – Last week's meeting was ice skating at Billingham Forum. It was great to see so many members and potential new members there. Next week's meetings is our annual trip to the Darlington pantomime The Chuckles of Oz. Meet at the cross at 6.15pm. The club would also like to invite everybody to their Christmas Darts Knockout on Tuesday, December 16, at 7.30pm in the Blue Bell at Ingleby Cross. Teams of four are invited and tickets are £5 per person to include entry and a pie and peas supper.

NORTHALLERTON. – Thank you to Diane for the talk on dementia. The club is aware of the possible signs of dementia. Next Monday's meeting is tap-dancing at the auction mart canteen, at 7.30pm. Friends and family to tap the night away. Also don't forget about the Christmas meal. Hand in your choices to Madi and your money to Phil by next Monday. REETH. – This week's meeting was a stock judging practice by permission of the Porter family. The results were: 1 Stephen Dixon; 2 Kevin Sunter; 3 William Porter. There will be a meeting organised for after Christmas.

STOCKTON. – This week's meeting was a rally competitions planning meeting ahead of our rally day in 2015. Thanks to everyone for their input. Our next meeting will be on Monday, December 15, when we will be carol singing in aid of Cash for Kids. Meet at The Beeches, Middleton St George, DL2 1JZ, at 6.30pm with your Santa hats and best singing voices. If you can drive, that would be great too. All are welcome. WENSLEYDALE. – We have had a busy weekend with the district public speaking event. Our teams did really well. First in the reading was Shannon McIntyre, Thomas Reynolds, and Andrew Reynolds. In the public speaking, Edward Durham was second in the vote of thanks, Shannon McIntyre was third in the speech, and Thomas Reynolds fourth as the chairman. Well done to all our members for competing. Our next meeting will take place on Monday, Decembwe 15, at Redmire, and is a Christmas craft night, so please take £1 to contribute towards costs.
