THE Northern Farming Conference takes place at Hexham mart on Wednesday (12th).
The keynote speaker will be Environment Secretary Elizabeth Truss who will be followed by Allan Wilkinson, HSBC head of agriculture, and Joe Delves, dairy farmer and Nuffield scholar; and award winning poultry farmer Richard Tulip who, with his brother, runs Lintz Hall Farm, the largest poultry farm in the North-East with half a million birds.
The afternoon session includes Rob Aubrook, North East regional director for Natural England; Geoff Whittaker, consultant and adviser with the Agricultural Law Association; John Henderson, share farmer and CLA Yorkshire president; and Richard Price, award winning farm manager from Lowther Park Farms, Penrith.
