ANNE McIntosh, MP for Thirsk, Malton and Filey, and chairman of the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Efra) Select Committee will lead a debate on the implementation of CAP reform and the budgetary implications in the House of Commons on Monday.

She said: “We are delighted to have secured this Estimates Day Debate to discuss the reform of the Common Agricultural Policy.

“We welcome this opportunity to scrutinise both the cost implications and the impact on farmers of the implementation of the CAP reforms in 2015 in England.

“This gives members on all sides of the House the chance to debate the issues surrounding CAP implementation, that are of most concern to UK farmers.”
